In partnership with tecconnect (Economic Development Lethbridge) and RINSA, Career Transitions is hosting a one day workshop geared toward high school students who are interested in both entrepreneurship and technology.
“Discover Entrepreneurship” participants will:
- Meet several local successful start-ups
- Find out how these business people turned their ideas into reality
- Have a tour of the tecconnect facility so that each student can learn about the wide range of resources that are available to help them to become their own boss.
- After lunch, the students will be introduced to Strategyzer’s Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas, which are hands on tools that will allow them to take a business idea and explore it in a practical and meaningful way.
We are looking for students who are creative, have a strong inclination toward technology and might benefit from considering entrepreneurship as a career choice.
Given that seating is limited to 30 and that we anticipate a significant response to this workshop, interested students will be required to submit a simple application form by November 7. To see the questions on the application, please Click Here (please note: NO paper applications will accepted)
These application will be reviewed by the Career Transitions team, and all applicants will be contacted by November 1st.
