The 2 winning students will ride along with one or two reporters for the day, and will record themselves and the news they cover.

They won’t be assigned to specific reporters or events until February 7.

They will be interviewed by a journalist at the end of the day and the footage they shoot will be used as b-roll.

The students will have a chance try to anchor the first block of news (not on-air) and will later receive a few minutes of it on camera.

The final product will be a video for them to take home on a Global News USB drive, plus one video (the interview) to be edited, with their interview and footage, to be aired on Global News and posted to social media.

Fianlly, the students will receive a Global News swag bag at the end of the day.
